Friendship is my Favorite

Women need friendship. Well, maybe I just need my friends. I don't know. I think it's pretty universal. Each one is someone I hold dear, they are special and different and necessary.

A couple of weeks before Christmas, some of my friends got together to share cookies; you know, to exchange lots and lots of cookies. It was lovely. We talked and laughed, tasted tried and true recipes, and also had a chance to eat some new ones.  We exchanged ornaments, sipped our coffee, talked about one of our most memorable Christmas moments, and simply enjoyed being together.

God made us for relationship. ❤️

This photo makes me chuckle. If our kids were flies on the wall they would have been doubled-over in a laughing fit. When moms try to use the latest gadgets i.e. a selfie stick, they don't always get it right the first time. In the end, Melanie was very successful. I think our photo turned out well.

Take the time to be a good friend today. You might be just what they needed.

J.I.J.T. Take 2

About 8 years ago I was encouraged to write a blog after a 3,000 mile move to the U.K. I had never written one before, so to say I had trepidation, doubt, interest, and a little curiosity is an understatement. I took the advice and went full speed ahead to create , "Joy in the Journey". That original blog can be found here. I wrote for several years,  even printed books out of my blog, and eventually found no time to continue.

Today as I sat at the very same computer that my original blog was created on, I began to pursue the idea of a blog again. It has the same name, but with a new blog address. With a busy schedule and time constraints similar to the ones that had me discontinue writing back in July, 2014, it may prove difficult to be consistent. But I shall try. I enjoy writing about our family and the journey God has us on. So stay tuned...
